The Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is a United States National Park located in the big island of Hawaii. There are two active volcanoes in this area: Kīlauea, which is one of the world’s most active volcanoes, and Mauna Loa, which is among the world’s most massive subaerial volcano. Aside from tourists, many scientists also come to this park in order to learn more on how the Hawaiian Islands were formed and about the different volcanic processes. This park is also home to a number of rare flora and fauna.

The park is open to all visitors all-year round including holidays and is one of the top attractions on the big island. The Kīlauea Visitor Center is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the Jaggar Museum is also open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The operating hours of the park along with the visitors center and the museum however are subject to change due to volcanic activity.
